ThrowLab practice guide

How to track your disc golf practice progress

Review individual throws, compare your recent averages, and use trends to see how speed, disc angle, and early-flight path change over time.

Keep the comparison useful

Compare the same disc, throwing style, and intended line. Keep camera placement and recording conditions similar between sessions.

Choose your Trends view

Choose Flight or Distance, then select your disc, throwing style, and intended line. Use the Last menu to show 5, 10, 15, or 20 throws.

Read each metric separately

Your disc angle can become more consistent while speed varies. Review speed, angle, and early-flight path individually instead of relying on a single throw.

Look across sessions

Throws are grouped automatically; a gap of 30 minutes or more starts a new session. Sessions keeps your flight analyses and distance measurements together so you can revisit a practice day.

Revisit your personal bests

Milestones shows your farthest recorded distance with each disc and the fastest saved speed for each disc, throwing style, and line. Check your averages and trends alongside your personal bests to see how the rest of your throws compare.

Choose one focus

Pick one adjustment for your next practice, repeat the same setup, and review how the readings change.
